Recommended Tools and Apps that Julia Uses Daily

Website

WordPress is our favorite all-in-one website builder and platform. You can host your entire website here and build your website up to 100,000s of traffic visitors a month. For the past ten years, ALL my websites have been on WordPress. It is by far the most robust solution for a high-traffic, custom-built website. You can get hosting through Godaddy.

Email Marketing

We’ve tried quite a few email marketing tools (MailChimp, Infusion Soft (now Keap), etc.) over the years, and not many beat the simplicity of our favorite: ConvertKit. This is the one Julia uses to deliver all of her value-focused and sales email campaigns.

Content at Scale

No other AI writing tool comes close to Content at Scale. It’s an all-in-one long-form SEO AI writer that generates 2,900+ word posts within just a few minutes that pass Copyscape, are undetectable, and include links and citations. Every blog on Content Hacker is created with Content at Scale.

SEO

Semrush is our favorite all-in-one SEO tool. You can set up site audits, receive reports sent directly to your email with position changes, have several sites going at once (great for agency clients), and research keywords. The data is incredibly accurate and this is the tool I use most often.

KWFinder is our favorite keyword research tool. You can find and discover great keywords in an easy-to-use dashboard with this tool.

Content Calendar

Airtable is our favorite tool for organizing and sharing content marketing topics and planning content calendars. You can plan out your own or your client’s topics, keywords and more easily, and share calendars among different people with different permissions. (CTS’ content strategy lessons include how to set up Airtable.)

Social Media Tools

MeetEdgar is our recommended tool of choice for setting up a social media set-and-forget calendar. You’ll need to login and add new content and maintain your queue; but it’s an excellent tool to repurpose your blog posts and stories. (CTS’ social media lessons include how to use MeetEdgar.)

Courses

Course hosting, progress, & video curriculum: Teachable is our favorite. The ease of use is excellent, and setting your course up here is self-explanatory. We’ve done over $400,000 in transactions on the Teachable platform. You can even use Teachable for checkout pages, too. Checkout & Sales

ThriveCart is our favorite checkout and sales page app. It’s all-in-one, meaning if you wanted to host everything here (deliver your curriculum or digital products after they purchase), you can! It retails for $1997, but after talking with the founders, we were able to get the deal Julia has – $495 for a LIFETIME license of ThriveCart – available to you. Products & Ecommerce

Very few beat Printful – and we’ve tried several! Get your tshirts, hats, sweatshirts, and all kinds of merchandise printed and sourced easily on this platform. It hooks into Shopify, Etsy, and many more platforms. You can choose your provider (manufacturer) yourself, and even find U.S. providers.
